Our Story

Hello, my name is Tiffany Montgomery, and I am the creator and founder of Jurleen’s Kitchen, LLC. I’m also a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and granddaughter with a desire to inspire, motivate, and encourage others in being their best selves in this thing called life; and I use my skills and passion for cooking to do that.

My passion for cooking was inspired by my grandmother, Mrs. Jurleen Jones. Born and raised in Georgia my grandmother planted roots in Florida where cooking became a way of life for her. My fondest memories as a child are the times, I spent in my grandmother’s kitchen learning to read and write, add and subtract, and much more. Based on our age and sometimes our height, my grandmother determined the chore we were assigned to complete in the kitchen; from shucking corn and snapping peas to cooking on the stove and washing dishes, we all had a task. The unintended learning environment created was a means to surviving and maintaining order. My grandmother’s kitchen was a gathering place for holidays, a place to hold all sorts of conversation, play games, dance, laugh, and cry all while the food prepared was the
centerpiece to it all.

Taking a chance on self should be one of the easiest things to do but in most cases, it is the hardest thing to do. After being laid off for the fourth time, I took the opportunity to put all my focus, resources, and efforts into making my dream of owning my own restaurant into a reality; starting with providing mobile food services that includes catering small and large events to weekend pop-ups. Jurleen’s Kitchen was birthed out of survival but conceived from a grandmother’s love of family and good times in a Kitchen. Let Jurleen’s Kitchen bring you and your family back to the kitchen table where the food is the centerpiece, and the source is
conversation, laughter, and fellowship.
